      TL;DR: Pay per message, no subscriptions. We don't store your conversations. Use responsibly. Payments are non-refundable once processed.
    

1. Service Overview

Chat402 ("Service") is a pay-per-prompt AI chat platform operated by Chat402. We provide access to various AI models including GPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, and our Synth multi-model feature, as well as image generation via DALL-E.

The Service is available via:

Web interface at chat402.xyz
Telegram bot (@chat402bot)
Discord bot (Chat402)

2. Payment Terms

Chat402 operates on a pay-per-use model:

Cryptocurrency: We accept USDC on the Solana blockchain
Credit/Debit Cards: Payments processed via Stripe
Free Messages: New users receive 3 free messages to try the service
Pricing: Costs vary by model and are displayed before each request

All payments are final once processed. Due to the instant nature of AI responses, we cannot offer refunds for completed requests. Unused balance in your custodial wallet remains available for future use.

3. User Responsibilities

By using Chat402, you agree to:

Not use the service for illegal activities
Not attempt to circumvent payment mechanisms
Not generate content that violates AI provider policies (harassment, illegal content, etc.)
Not abuse free message allocations through multiple accounts
Take responsibility for prompts you submit and content you generate

4. Privacy & Data

We are committed to your privacy:

No Conversation Storage: Chat history is stored only in your browser's local storage, not on our servers
Minimal Data: We only store wallet addresses and transaction records necessary for payment processing
No Accounts: No email, password, or personal information required

5. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. AI model availability depends on third-party providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.). We reserve the right to:

Modify pricing with reasonable notice
Add or remove AI models
Implement rate limits to prevent abuse
Suspend accounts that violate these terms

6. Limitation of Liability

Chat402 is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

AI-generated content accuracy or appropriateness
Service interruptions or downtime
Loss of funds due to blockchain network issues
Decisions made based on AI responses

Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific transaction in question.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your prompts. AI-generated responses are subject to the respective AI provider's terms. The Chat402 brand, logo, and platform are our intellectual property.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
